DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is a leading company in the logistics sector, providing comprehensive solutions for supply chain management. The Program Manager, Operations Support, will support new business implementations and ensure operational continuity, collaborating with various teams to enhance performance and manage projects effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supports new business implementations and operational continuity across multiple sites
- Operates under the direct guidance of a Senior Team member
- Partners with engineering to develop detailed process flows and layout plans
- Participates in performance improvement and crisis management support
- Attends operational reviews for RFPs and implementation tollgates
- Partner in hyper-care support for relocations, application migrations, and new launches
- Helps to manage UAT and volume stress testing
- Serves in flexible operational support capacities to maintain continuity during hiring gaps or backfill transitions
- Actively engages in DQP sessions and cross-functional planning forums to gain experience and contribute to successful outcomes
- Expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality
- Expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies
- Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Support overall stabilization objectives within the operations support team
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0 to 2 years of experience in operations, logistics, or program management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
- Demonstrated proficiency in knowledge of applicable WMS systems
- English (reading, writing, verbal)
- Strong attention to detail accuracy
- Good organizational and personnel skills
- Good communication skills, written and oral
- Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation
- Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, and climb
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to stand for several hours per day to perform required job duties as required by the nature of the business that is supported
- Must be able to travel by plane and/or automobile
- Experience with process engineering, operational enablement, or system testing preferred
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies is a plus
