Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Interstates is growing and we are seeking a skilled Project Accounting Specialist to join our team. This position requires a general understanding of accounting principles and standards of the appropriate industry, providing a high caliber level of service to assigned project manager(s) and/or clients.
Responsibilities
- Set up new projects in the accounting system and maintain related ledger accounts
- Prepare invoices, monitor payment status, coordinate with internal teams, and accurately code payments
- Enter data and assist in completing recurring monthly accounting tasks
- Research applicable tax rates and ensure accurate application to materials and projects
- Prepare basic financial reporting and data summaries
Skills
- A.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple locations
- Proficient computer skills, including accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
