Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Beacon Healthcare Systems is a fast-growing software as a service (SaaS) company specializing in healthcare compliance solutions. They are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester to deliver high-quality software, conduct testing, and ensure software reliability in a collaborative Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across the Beacon platform
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing across web and application platforms
- Identify, document, and track defects through their full lifecycle using issue-tracking tools such as Jira, ensuring clear and reproducible bug reports
- Validate that software releases meet defined acceptance criteria and are production-ready before deployment
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
- Identify repetitive test scenarios suitable for automation and assist in implementing them to improve testing efficiency
- Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous delivery and rapid release cycles
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and provide early QA input on feature development
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
- Communicate testing status, quality metrics, and risk assessments clearly to the team and stakeholders
- Advocate for quality best practices and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives across the engineering team
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles, preferably in a SaaS or healthcare technology environment
- Hands-on experience writing and executing detailed test cases and bug reports
- Proficiency with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira or TestRail
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs) and how they affect testing strategies
- Basic scripting or programming ability in at least one language such as Python or JavaScript
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments with cross-functional product and engineering teams
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a drive to understand how systems behave under real-world conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to document issues clearly and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- High sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of the products you test and ship
- Collaborative team player who actively contributes to team culture, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
- Self-starter who manages multiple priorities effectively and adapts well in a fast-paced Agile environment
