The role involves key responsibilities in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting, while partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned general ledger accounts and related accounting processes
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Analyze account fluctuations and research variances
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
- Support financial reporting, audits, and internal control compliance
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and improve processes
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within accounting operations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of public accounting experience (audit or assurance preferred)
- 2+ years of corporate accounting experience within a mid-sized or large company
- Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices
- Advanced Excel and ERP system skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fully remote environment
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience in SOX-compliant or publicly traded company environments
