The role involves quality-checking research models, conducting desk research, and summarizing findings to inform grant decisions.
Responsibilities
- Quality-checking and updating cost-effectiveness models
- Answering defined research questions through desk research
- Writing and quality checking public summaries of the reasoning behind our grant decisions
- Summarizing monitoring and evaluation reports from grantees
- Other support as needed
Skills
- At least a bachelor's degree and 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Degree (or equivalent professional research experience) in a field that develops strong quantitative and analytical skills, such as economics, global health, public health, public policy, political science, epidemiology, mathematics, statistics, or another STEM discipline
- Strong communicator: You write clearly and concisely
- Analytical: You are able to make judgment calls about how to interpret and use messy data
- Conscientious: You have meticulous attention to detail
- Mission-motivated: You are passionate about maximizing global well-being
- Curious and versatile: You are excited to learn about a wide cross-section of our grantmaking
