In this highly visible role, you will partner with various teams to prepare and review financial statements, perform technical accounting research, and support external audits while driving reporting excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portion of the accounting close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Compile and validate reporting files to support financial accuracy
- Develop and analyze financial analytics and management reports
- Review and deliver financial reports and other key deliverables to stakeholders
- Lead ad hoc projects, including process improvements, accounting transactions, and innovation initiatives
- Coordinate audit-related activities by preparing complex schedules and working with auditors
- Provide technical accounting training and guidance on company policies, controls, and standards
- Resolve complex issues independently and produce high-quality work with minimal review needed
Skills
- BA/BS in Accounting or related field required
- 3-5+ years of direct work experience in accounting, insurance, or finance
- Proficient in Excel
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong process improvement mindset with the ability to think creatively
