[Remote] Senior Onboarding Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. G&A Partners is a nationally recognized leader in the human resources space, and they are seeking a Senior Onboarding Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding new clients, executing projects, and improving financial insights while ensuring a seamless transition to the recurring services team.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the initial point of contact for new clients
• Serves as a mentor and supports other implementation associates
• Gains access to clients’ systems and, in some cases, converts to our platforms
• Anticipates project risks, addresses any challenges, reduces issues, and escalates to appropriate parties
• Identifies creative ways to overcome obstacles
• Develops an understanding of current client processes and identify gaps and areas of opportunity
• Executes clean-up activities to get accounting records up to date and accurate
• Realigns chart of accounts and financial statements to enhance financial insights and visibility
• Prepares process documentation to enable a seamless transition to recurring service team
• Communicates progress updates to clients on a weekly basis

Skills

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
• 4+ years of accounting experience is required
• Excellent people, customer service, organizational and presentation skills
• Extremely detail oriented and focused on completion and follow up
• Strong collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability and desire to multi-task and take on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
• Excellent work habits and self-motivation
• A passion for building and being part of a team
• Outsourced accounting onboarding experience strongly preferred
