Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Premier Online Marketing is a digital marketing agency that helps local businesses increase their visibility online. They are seeking an SEO Account Manager to own client relationships and lead SEO strategy execution, ensuring that client goals are met through effective communication and team coordination.
Responsibilities
- Own client relationships as the main point of contact for a portfolio of high-touch accounts: lead monthly calls, quarterly reviews, reporting, and ongoing communication
- Run the onboardings for your accounts: the highest-stakes window, where the relationship is won or lost
- Set and direct SEO strategy for each client toward measurable, client-agreed goals across local, technical, content, and AI-driven search (AI Overviews, LLM-powered answer engines), with the SEO team executing under your direction
- Act as the quality gate: review the strategy and deliverables your team produces before they reach the client, including AI-assisted recommendations, and make sure they’re grounded in real business context, not just automation, before you approve what ships
- Translate performance data and evolving search behavior, including how AI-generated search results affect client visibility, into clear narratives clients understand, and make the case for next steps
- Coordinate and direct a pod of strategists and specialists on your accounts, and partner with content, paid media, and analytics teams as needed, setting priorities and keeping campaigns on track and on strategy
- Delegate templated client communication (reporting emails, recaps, task updates) to your team, with your review and sign-off
- Handle triage and escalations: performance drops, mid-cycle client requests, and anything that needs to be resolved outside the normal cadence
- As your accounts stabilize, take on assigned cross-account work: quality-review support for other accounts, contributing to team playbooks, and helping onboard newer team members
- Document activity and keep accounts current in our project management workflow
- Stay current on SEO strategy, AI/answer-engine developments, algorithm updates, and industry shifts
Skills
- 3–5+ years of proven client management or account management experience, at a digital marketing agency
- Comfortable leading client calls, quarterly reviews, and strategic conversations
- Strong working command of SEO across local, technical, and content
- Working understanding of how AI Overviews and generative search are changing visibility
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into a clear story
- Excellent time management, organization, and the ability to juggle multiple accounts under tight deadlines
- Strong with Google Analytics and Search Console
- Comfortable with workflow/project management software (Monday.com)
- Hands-on execution experience is a plus
- Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, Moz, Sitebulb, Screaming Frog, or similar
