Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ping AI is a venture-backed NYC consumer app helping people discover better ways to spend, shop, and experience the city. They are seeking a Social Media Manager to own the consumer-facing content across TikTok, Instagram, and other social channels, developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy.
Responsibilities
- Own Ping’s social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and other consumer channels
- Develop repeatable content formats around NYC spending, lifestyle, pop-ups, social behavior, and product moments
- Create, shoot, edit, or direct short-form video content
- Work with creators, interns, and internal team members to produce content consistently
- Capture content at Ping events, pop-ups, and local activations
- Build a distinct voice and identity for Ping across social channels
- Track content performance and use data to improve hooks, formats, posting strategy, and audience growth
- Stay close to consumer trends, creator culture, and what is working across TikTok, Reels, and emerging social formats
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in social media, content, growth, or brand marketing, ideally for a B2C consumer brand, app, marketplace, lifestyle brand, or startup
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, short-form video, memes, and internet-native storytelling
- Ability to own content from idea to execution, not just manage posting
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
- Strong taste in consumer content and brand voice
- Experience working with creators, UGC, events, or community-driven campaigns
- Comfortable appearing on camera
- If you're already a content creator or have grown your own TikTok/Instagram account, that's a big plus
