Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Double Holo is building the market intelligence platform for trading cards. They are seeking an early-career engineer who wants to grow fast by shipping real software to real users and will work across the full stack on various impactful features.
Responsibilities
- Marketplace features across web and mobile: listings, live order books, checkout, seller tools
- API endpoints and background jobs that power pricing analytics, portfolio tracking, and market alerts
- Data pipelines that keep prices, sales history, and population data fresh across millions of records
- Production debugging: taking an error report from stack trace to root cause to shipped fix
- Internal tools that our team and vendors rely on every day
- Performance work: making dense data views feel fast on web and mobile
Skills
- Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Have built and finished real things: internships, substantial class projects, personal apps, open source
- Are solid in at least one of JavaScript/TypeScript or Ruby, and eager to work in both
- Communicate early and clearly, especially when you're stuck
- Take feedback well and iterate fast: our community reacts to what we ship within hours
- Want ownership and accountability earlier than a big company would ever give you
- Bonus points if you've worked with React, React Native, Rails, SQL, payments, or anything camera/computer vision
- Collecting trading cards is a plus - but definitely not required
