Worldpay is one of the biggest names in payments, seeking a Software Engineer – Portal (Front End) to join their Payrix software engineering team. The role involves solving complex engineering problems, building scalable platforms, and mentoring team members in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Working with a great engineering team to solve complex problems
- Contributing to building a scalable platform, employing engineering best practices, on top of AWS
- Collaborating to help refine our business requirements and evolve our payments platform
- Fully owning the services that you and your team are building
- Participating in team code reviews
- Mentoring less experienced team members, helping them to become successful within the team and the project
- Working with technical and non-technical people outside the team as it relates to team-owned projects/features
Skills
- 5+ years' experience with software development, including expert knowledge of best practices, including code architectural patterns and code design principles and patterns with demonstrated ability to properly apply them as needed
- Solid understanding of large-scale software systems
- 3+ years of experience in development Angular based front-end development
- 2+ years of experience with ExpressJS backend Development
- Good experience with relational database systems (Postgres, MariaDB)
- Good understanding of working with REST APIs
- Very strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle stages and best practices around each stage
- Demonstrated ability to technically own the delivery of medium sized features, involving multiple people within the team
- Experience with basic cloud services for building and running cloud-native applications
- Agile development experience
- CI/CD experience
- Fintech or payments/banking product development experience
