The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team to design, develop, and implement mobile and web software solutions for residential generators and related systems, driving innovation and high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of up to 8 software engineers
- Manage the development of mobile and web front-end solutions - define architecture, coding standards and best practices
- Manage multiple software development projects from concept through implementation and support
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering and IT teams to define software requirements, specifications, Â architecture and solutions
- Drive continuous improvement focused on customer experience and quality improvements
- Support creation of product development roadmaps and a strategic plan for software engineering
- Manage work in an agile development environment, while also meeting the needs of a waterfall timeline for product development
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and best practices related to software system designs
- Oversee resource planning, performance reviews and professional development for this team as well as develop budgets, timelines and task assignments

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience developing and implementing mobile, web and cloud-based software solutions
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles
- Experience in enterprise software architecture and database design
- Experience with Azure, Flutter, HTML, CSS3, C#, relational databases, client-server solutions
- Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders and executive leadership
- High level of motivation and ability to collaborate effectively in a team and independently to achieve results
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Prior management or leadership experience of software teams is a plus
