Benaiah Consulting Group is a fast-growing remote accounting and advisory firm, expanding its team by adding Staff Accountants who can manage client accounts effectively. The role involves day-to-day accounting, preparing financial statements, and ensuring timely communication with clients.
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day accounting for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts on an ongoing basis
- Preparing monthly financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
- Recording and reviewing journal entries for payroll, revenue, accruals, and adjustments
- Supporting month-end close with accuracy and consistency
- Assisting with cleanup of prior-period books for new clients when needed
- Collaborating with managers and teammates to ensure work is completed on time
- Occasionally joining onboarding or client calls when clarification or support is needed
Skills
- 2 or more years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a public accounting or outsourced accounting environment
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience
- Solid understanding of debits and credits and how financial statements work
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Cleanup experience is a BIG PLUS
