Cursor is on a mission to automate coding, and they are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to sell their product into consumer-facing enterprises. The role involves building relationships across various departments and driving adoption plans to enhance engineering velocity and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Own a vertical portfolio and net-new strategy across retail/hospitality/entertainment
- Build relationships across Product Engineering, DevEx, Security, and Procurement
- Tie Cursor to outcomes like faster launches, fewer defects, and reduced operational toil
- Run hands-on POVs with real repos and production workflows
- Navigate enterprise security/compliance reviews and commercial negotiation
- Drive adoption plans (enablement, champions, rollout sequencing) and expansions
- Share customer learnings to sharpen Cursor’s positioning and rollout playbooks
Skills
- You have 7+ years enterprise closing experience; consumer/internet background is a plus
- You're comfortable selling to technical buyers and quantifying business impact
- You have strong outbound + account planning chops; you create pipeline consistently
- You're a true hunter - you proactively build pipeline from scratch through outbound prospecting, creative sourcing, and relentless follow-up, rather than relying on inbound demand
- You are a high ownership IC who moves fast and communicates crisply
