As a System Integration Engineer or Analyst, you’ll help shape and optimize complex technical environments by guiding system integration processes and supporting cloud-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on system integration approaches, interface management, and process improvements across hybrid and cloud-based environments
- Apply systems engineering principles to support requirements analysis, solution architecture, integration strategy, validation, and testing
- Design and integrate systems with a strong understanding of object-oriented design and modular system architecture
- Collaborate with engineering teams, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders to ensure secure and efficient system performance
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues across distributed environments
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation including system architecture diagrams, interface control documents (ICDs), and standard operating procedures
- Ensure system designs incorporate cybersecurity best practices, comply with relevant frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF), and support secure system-to-system communication
- Support and advise on continuous integration, automation, and DevSecOps practices
- Other duties or task related to system integration as required
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of experience in system integration, systems engineering, or IT architecture—preferably supporting federal, defense, or intelligence missions
- Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including understanding of cloud-native services and integration methods in a government cloud environment
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, modular architectures, and scalable system integration
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, secure systems design, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, RMF, or FISMA
- Experience with systems modeling tools and process documentation (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Visio, Jira, Confluence)
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders through integration planning and execution
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required depending on the position
