Social Media Specialist to join our creative communications team and help grow our online community.
As a Volunteer
Social Media Specialist
, you will:
• Manage and grow our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc.)
• Create engaging, on-brand content (posts, stories, videos, etc.)
• Analyze engagement data and suggest improvements
• Stay ahead of digital trends and apply them creatively
• Collaborate with artists, photographers, and our internal team to showcase their work
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms
• Excellent communication skills (written and visual)
• Analytical and creative problem-solving ability
• Familiarity with content creation and scheduling tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, Buffer, etc.)
• Passion for African art, photography, and storytelling
Bonus Points If You:
• Have experience running social media for a brand or organization
• Understand basic metrics (engagement rate, CTR, reach, etc.)
• Are fluent in French or Portuguese (a plus, not mandatory)
