JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Accounting of The Pennsylvania State University (University Park) seeks to recruit a Clinical Professor or an Instructor in Accounting beginning in Fall 2024. Ranks within the clinical and instructor categories are open. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in accounting and related disciplines, including tax, auditing, and accounting analytics. Instructional responsibilities may vary from year to year. In addition to instruction, the individual will support the teaching mission of the Department through regular office hours, student counseling and advising, involvement in student extra-curricular activities, and academic administration. Typical qualifications include advanced degrees (particularly in accounting or tax) and relevant work experience. Ability to teach accounting analytics and/or deliver online courses is highly desired. The contract structure, including term, salary, and benefits, will be competitive and commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
A terminal degree is required for the clinical faculty track.
