Job description:
- Design and implement instructional program for students with intellectual disabilities that incorporates students? individualized education program
- Adapting materials from general education classroom
- Develop IEPs and monitor student progress
- Effective implementation of behavioral intervention strategies
- Work collaboratively with speech, occupational and physical therapists
- Manage paraprofessional staff assigned to classroom
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Administer alternate assessment
- Lifting, positioning, feeding, diapering, assist with personal hygiene routines, physical education activities (including swimming)
- Successful implementation of approved de-escalation and restraint techniques
