Description
Conservation International works globally to protect nature for climate, biodiversity, and human well-being. Through science, partnerships, and finance, the organization supports conservation initiatives across more than 100 countries.
This role supports the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund, a global program that provides grants and technical assistance to civil society organizations in biodiversity hotspots. The position contributes to grant-making processes, crisis response initiatives, and administrative coordination to strengthen conservation investments worldwide.
Responsibilities
• Prepare website content for grant calls and application processes
• Draft and send invitation and rejection letters to applicants
• Support organization of proposal development workshops
• Maintain training materials for applicants and grantees
• Upload reports and safeguard documents to program platforms
• Monitor and respond to inquiries for conservation crisis funding
• Screen letters of inquiry for eligibility
• Coordinate external review processes and committee meetings
• Draft official communications to applicants
• Manage submission and tracking of grant milestones and reports
• Support monitoring and evaluation data contributions
• Provide logistical support for meetings and events
• Prepare presentations and meeting materials
• Take minutes and track action items for team meetings
Minimum Requirements
• Two to four years of relevant professional experience
• Strong interest in nature conservation
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in grant making or technical reporting
• Experience in biodiversity conservation or community development
• Familiarity with database systems such as Salesforce
• Fluency in additional languages such as French, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish

• Position based in Arlington, Virginia; Brussels, Belgium; or London, United Kingdom
• Hybrid or remote work depending on location
• Requires up to 10% international travel
