Senior DevOps Engineer, Remote

Job Description: • Join us in architecting and leading the infrastructure that powers revolutionary services forming the bedrock of the world's supply chain. • Tackle critical infrastructure challenges that traverse various technologies and teams, delving deep into technical complexities such as scalability, resilience, and reliability to craft holistic automated solutions. • Deliver high-quality infrastructure and automation work—you set a high bar for infrastructure design, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment processes—and set the standard for excellence within the team. • Navigate the terrain of technology decisions with finesse, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term scalability goals, ensuring our infrastructure remains ahead of the curve. • Become a mentor for your teammates, imparting wisdom on DevOps best practices and nurturing their growth in infrastructure automation and cloud technologies. • Lead the design and implementation of complex automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, and comprehensive monitoring solutions that enable rapid, reliable software delivery at scale. • Collaborate closely with diverse teams, synergizing efforts to reach ambitious technical milestones and drive architectural decisions. Requirements: • 7+ years of non-internship professional DevOps, infrastructure, or systems administration experience. • 5+ years of experience with infrastructure design, automation, and scaling of distributed systems. • Extensive experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and infrastructure automation tools. • Expert-level experience with containerization using Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. • Advanced experience building and maintaining complex CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions workflows and other automation tools. • Deep knowledge of AWS cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and security services. • Strong understanding of modern software lifecycle practices including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and DevOps methodologies. • Advanced networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and network security concepts. • Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects from requirements gathering through implementation and production deployment. • Experience mentoring junior to mid-level engineers on DevOps excellence practices. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe infrastructure solutions, and technical designs. • Bachelor's degree (or greater) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
