Senior Product Designer
Location: Exton United States
Job Description:
Your mission as Senior Product Designer
As a Senior Product Designer at Energage, you'll own design for significant product areas and drive them with increasing independence — from research through high-fidelity execution. You'll bring strong craft, a collaborative approach, and the ability to work without close oversight while contributing to a team that's actively maturing its practice. Your work will directly shape how employees, managers, and HR professionals experience our products.
Accountability & Impact:
In this role, you will...
Own Product Areas & Execute
Own design for assigned product areas from discovery through launch, with minimal oversight
Design comprehensive user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that demonstrate strong attention to detail
Drive clarity on what you're building, why, and for whom — pushing back when requirements are incomplete or unclear
Generate and maintain momentum — identify blockers proactively and keep work moving across multiple projects and priorities
Start developing your own point of view on future direction for your product area, advocating for opportunities that benefit users and the business
Consider all constraints including accessibility, responsive design, dark mode, localization, and edge cases
Follow up post-launch to assess impact and bring learnings back into your work
Conduct Research & Discovery
Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research using the right methods for the objective
Use both qualitative insights and quantitative data to make confident design decisions
Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations that drive product direction
Advocate for research when you see gaps in understanding, and help others on the team conduct better research
Deliver High-Quality Craft
Produce work with few visual issues and strong attention to detail — all states and edge cases considered
Create or extend design system components and patterns with scalability in mind
Document patterns and contribute to design system governance
Form design principles as you work and use them to guide decisions
Collaborate & Communicate
Present work with polish and confidence, leading meetings effectively
Handle feedback thoroughly and gracefully, knowing when to change direction — or hold your ground
Work without close oversight and manage stakeholder relationships proactively
Share work early and often to foster collaboration and incorporate others' input
Help create psychological safety on the team — approach ambiguity with curiosity, maintain composure under pressure, and help others do the same
What You Bring to the Role:
3–7 years of product design experience with a track record of owning complex work end to end
Strong generalist skills across the full design process — research, information architecture, UX strategy, interaction design, and UI execution — grounded in systems thinking and experience principles
Experience creating or extending design system components and patterns with scalability in mind
Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to make and defend design decisions
Proven track record shipping high-quality products with measurable impact
Collaboration skills working effectively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders without close oversight
Communication skills presenting work confidently and growing your ability to influence decisions through data and storytelling
Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design process, research skills, and high-quality craft
Expertise in Figma and standard collaboration tools such as Confluence, Notion, Google Drive
Inclusive design expertise with understanding of WCAG standards and designing for diverse abilities, contexts, and user needs
Agile/Scrum experience working in iterative, cross-functional product teams
Complex B2B product experience with multi-user, multi-role enterprise workflows
Nice to have's:
Background in B2B SaaS, HR tech, or employee experience products
Experience contributing to design system governance or documentation
Familiarity with survey platforms, data visualization, or analytics tools
Experience with FullStory, Pendo, or similar tools to inform design with behavioral data
Advanced inclusive design knowledge beyond WCAG basics

Why This Opportunity
Join Energage as we mature our design practice and establish design as a strategic driver of business success and user experience excellence. We're building a unified experience that brings together employee engagement and talent management—strategic work that will enable employees, managers, and HR professionals to build great workplace cultures.
You'll work alongside the Director of Design, Principal Designer, and the broader design team as we tackle these challenges together. The team brings deep domain expertise, and you'll play a key role in translating that knowledge into a cohesive, exceptional user experience.
You'll have significant autonomy and clear impact, with the opportunity to shape both product and how design operates within the organization. If you're energized by the challenge of building practice, conducting meaningful research, mentoring others, and delivering exceptional craft—not just maintaining what exists—this role offers that combination of autonomy, impact, and strategic influence.
