This is a remote position.
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer who is as comfortable mentoring others as they are writing clean, well-tested code. You'll be a key technical anchor on the team - setting standards, guiding junior developers, and ensuring that engineering quality remains high throughout the engagement.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is not just a coding role - it is a leadership role. You will shape how the team writes Python: establishing coding standards, introducing clean code practices, and actively guiding junior engineers through pair programming and code review. You'll be embedded in an agile squad building AI-powered backend systems.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Writing and reviewing Python code to high standards of quality and maintainability;
Pair programming with junior team members and actively coaching on best practices;
Leading technical discussions on refactoring and code quality improvements;
Contributing to test strategy and ensuring robust unit test coverage;
Working with the GenAI Architect to implement AI components in the backend.
Requirements
Strong Python development skills with professional production experience;
Proficient with Git and modern version control workflows (branching, PR review, etc.);
Solid understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
Demonstrated experience in pair programming and mentoring junior developers;
Ability to define, communicate, and enforce coding standards: refactoring, Clean Code principles;
Sound understanding of unit testing, test coverage, and test-driven practices;
English proficiency at B2 level or above.
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience developing or contributing to agentic AI applications (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar);
Familiarity with LLM API integration in Python backends;
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
