About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on, high-ownership Sourcing Manager to own a critical part of our upstream supply chain — from purchase order creation all the way to delivery at U.S. ports. This role sits at the intersection of strategic sourcing, supplier management, production planning, quality control, and inbound coordination, with a strong focus on suppliers in China and the broader Far East. You’ll work closely with the VP Supply Chain and cross-functional teams to keep products flowing, improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and build scalable systems that support fast growth. What You’ll Own Supplier Management & Sourcing (Far East Focus) Support and co-own supplier relationships in China in close partnership with the VP Supply Chain and leadership team Help negotiate and manage commercial terms, including pricing, payment terms, and Incoterms. Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier-related topics Drive supplier performance across cost, lead time, quality, and reliability Identify and onboard new suppliers when needed Purchase Order Management & Replenishment Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders based on business requirements Propose replenishment plans based on demand, inventory levels, and lead times Monitor order confirmations and ensure alignment with agreed commercial terms Track purchase order progress from placement through shipment Proactively identify supply risks and drive corrective actions Define and manage the spare parts strategy together with Operations and Customer Support, including forecasting, replenishment, and inventory optimization Production Planning & Lead Time Optimization Coordinate production schedules with suppliers to support business needs Monitor timelines and drive on-time production completion Work closely with suppliers to reduce lead times and improve flexibility Anticipate delays early and implement mitigation plans Ensure a smooth handoff from production completion into logistics execution Quality Control & Inbound Readiness Oversee and continuously improve quality control processes for inbound shipments from China Coordinate pre-shipment inspections and quality checks with suppliers and third parties Review inspection reports and take action on non-conformities Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions Ensure shipments meet quality standards before departure Manage and oversee product compliance-related topics Cross-Functional Coordination Partner closely with Finance on payment planning, cash flow timing, and supplier terms Align with Logistics teams to ensure a smooth transition from factory to freight Coordinate with Warehouse and Operations teams on inbound planning requirements Ensure accurate, timely information flow across all key stakeholders Systems & Data Management Use Cin7 Core to manage purchase orders, supplier data, and inventory flows Maintain accurate system data across orders, lead times, costs, and supplier performance Ensure strong data integrity across procurement and inventory processes Use system insights to improve planning and decision-making Performance & Continuous Improvement Track and report on key KPIs, including OTIF, lead times, supplier performance, and quality Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across the supply chain Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and internal teams Help build scalable sourcing and upstream supply chain processes for the next stage of growth You’re a Great Fit If You… Have 5+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management Bring strong experience managing suppliers in China / the Far East Understand production planning and upstream supply chain flows in a practical, hands-on way Have direct experience creating and managing purchase orders and replenishment cycles Know your way around payment terms, Incoterms, and international shipping processes Have experience overseeing quality control and supplier compliance Have worked with Cin7 Core or a similar ERP / inventory system Are highly analytical, organized, and structured in how you solve problems Communicate clearly and confidently with suppliers and internal stakeholders Enjoy balancing detail, urgency, and long-term process improvement What Makes You Successful in This Role ✨ You take strong ownership and don’t let things drift You’re detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture You bring sound commercial judgment and negotiation instincts You’re technically curious and like understanding how products are built You can manage multiple moving parts without losing control You build trust with suppliers while holding a high bar for performance You stay calm under pressure and solve issues proactively What Success Looks Like Reliable product availability with optimized inventory levels Reduced lead times and better supplier responsiveness Strong supplier relationships with clear accountability and follow-through High-quality inbound shipments with minimal defects Full visibility and control from PO creation to delivery at U.S. ports Ongoing improvements in cost, efficiency, and scalability What’s In It for You Remote flexibility.
