Metro Sales Inc. is a 100% Employee-Owned Company and an industry leader in hardware, software, and managed services. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on financial reporting and assist with Accounts Payables.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
- File monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
- Compile and organize fixed asset tax reports
- Assist with processing invoices as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Proficient with the full suite of Microsoft Office products, expert in Excel
- 0-1 yrs experience in preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
- 0-1 yrs in accounts payable process
- Have, in process of, or willingness to acquiring a CPA license within the first two (2 years)
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
