Staff Product Manager (100% Remote)

The Mom Project is excited to support Etsy with their search for a Staff Product Manager to join their team on a contract basis. About The Team We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the Taxonomy & Catalog product squads within the Inventory group. You’ll be responsible for defining the long-term vision, strategy & roadmap for how Etsy structures, enriches & governs our listing catalog so buyers can reliably discover the right items and sellers can easily describe what they’re selling. This is a contract role through December 2026. The team is open to considering candidates who can work hybrid in Brooklyn, NY or fully remote non-NYC area candidates with an EST work schedule. About The Role In this role, you will lead the product work for Etsy's Taxonomy & Catalog squads — setting direction, aligning cross-functional partners, and ensuring they deliver high-quality, scalable systems that power search, recommendations, ads, buyer navigation & seller tools. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Design, Research, Analytics, and other product teams across Etsy to ensure our taxonomy & catalog scale with the marketplace and unlock long-term strategic bets. The Taxonomy & Catalog Squads Own • The global taxonomy that organizes Etsy’s marketplace (categories, attributes, item types etc.) • The catalog models & data structures that store and surface listing and inventory data • The systems & tools that power listing creation, enrichment & evaluation (for both sellers and internal tools) • The platform capabilities that downstream teams (Search, Ads, Recs, Buyer Experience, Trust & Safety, Analytics) rely on to understand & rank inventory Requirements • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, including time operating at a Staff / Principal-level scope (or equivalent) with multiple squads or a broad platform domain. • Meaningful experience with structured data, taxonomy, information architecture, catalog systems, or search/marketplace platforms. • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams and systems, ideally in a high-scale consumer or marketplace environment. • Track record of shipping foundational platform changes (e.g., schema redesigns, large migrations, cross-surface changes) with appropriate risk management and stakeholder communication. Hours and Location: • M-F, 40 hours/week • 100% remote, EST schedule a must We offer a competitive salary range for this position.
