Description:
• Manage the end-to-end patching lifecycle for Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Analyze vulnerability scan results, prioritize risks, and execute remediation plans.
• Maintain patching and vulnerability records to satisfy Managed Services SLAs and audit requirements.
• Provision, configure, and maintain Google Cloud Platform resources including Compute Engine, VPCs, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
• Monitor cloud health and implement scaling policies to improve cost-efficiency and availability.
• Automate repetitive tasks, configuration management, and application deployments using Ansible.
• Develop and maintain automated machine image builds using Packer for consistent deployments across environments.
• Work with stakeholders to communicate technical risks and maintenance windows.
• Create and maintain documentation for change management and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
• Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server 2016-2022 and Linux distributions.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform; Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Architect certification preferred.
• Experience with other public clouds such as AWS or Azure is acceptable.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, including playbooks and roles.
• Hands-on experience with Packer.
• Experience with patching tools such as WSUS, SCCM, Azure Update Manager, or Linux-native tools like YUM, APT, or Satellite.
• Strong understanding of CVEs, SSL/TLS, and hardening benchmarks such as CIS or STIG.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet time-to-patch deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders.
• Meticulous documentation habits for change management and SOPs.
