The Senior Systems Engineer / MECM Administrator will support the ITC Lab team by administering and sustaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) capabilities across enterprise lab environments. This role contributes to critical infrastructure operations by supporting software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, compliance reporting, risk assessments, and system modernization efforts. The position requires close collaboration with infrastructure, security, Information Assurance, and cross-functional technical teams to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant endpoint and server management in support of organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) for enterprise lab environments supporting servers and end user devices
Perform software deployment, software update deployment, application packaging, compliance reporting, and operating system deployment for servers and workstations
Plan, coordinate, and execute MECM infrastructure upgrades, including current branch updates and platform modernization activities
Support proof of concept testing to validate security patches and enterprise core applications prior to production release
Evaluate patches and application changes to minimize operational impact to production environments
Conduct and support operating system and application risk assessments in coordination with DHA and other stakeholder teams
Collaborate with Information Assurance, security, network, firewall, and infrastructure teams to resolve identified vulnerabilities and support reporting and mitigation strategies
Perform server and application hardening in accordance with DISA STIG requirements and document exceptions as needed
Monitor MECM and related system performance and implement tuning or corrective actions to ensure optimal availability and reliability
Troubleshoot MECM client and server issues, including connectivity, deployment, and configuration problems
Support ACAS compliance activities, OS testing, and software validation efforts across lab environments
Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and operational checklists
Coordinate planning, design, installation, and sustainment of MECM solutions using engineering principles and enterprise systems management best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
Manage tasks, timelines, and deliverables as assigned
Maintain documentation, reporting, or data as required
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
Provide recommendations for process improvements
Support team initiatives and organizational objectives

Required Qualifications
Active Secret clearance
10+ years of relevant professional experience in systems engineering, endpoint management, or enterprise systems administration
Experience administering Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) in enterprise environments
Experience with software deployment, patch management, application packaging, compliance reporting, and operating system deployment
Experience supporting Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems
Knowledge of DISA STIGs, vulnerability remediation, risk assessments, and security compliance practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Server, Microsoft Windows OS, and related enterprise management tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DHA, DoD, or other federal government environments
Familiarity with Tanium, ServiceNow, SCOM, Splunk, AppDynamics, BigFix, Ivanti, VMware, and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with PKI certificate implementation, HTTPS enablement, and enterprise systems hardening
Experience supporting cloud-connected or hybrid environments such as AWS, Azure, MilCloud, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Relevant certifications such as Security+, Microsoft certifications, VMware certifications, or related credentials
Previous experience working in a collaborative team environment
