UI/UX Designer (Financial Services)

UI/UX Designer (Financial Services) Location: USA - Remote Experience Level: Mid-Senior Employment Type: 6 Months - 1 year / Contract The Role We are looking for a versatile UI/UX Designer to join our team, for one of our premier clients in the Financial Services sector. In this role, you will be the "end-to-end" designer, bridging the gap between deep user research and high-fidelity UI execution. You will play a critical role in evolving a complex design system while ensuring the user journey for financial products is seamless, secure, and intuitive. Key Responsibilities: Visual & UI Design (The "Craft"): • Design Systems: Create, maintain and scale an enterprise design system, ensuring consistency across multiple financial platforms. • Components & Tokens: Build and manage reusable Figma components using features like Auto-layout, Variants, Variables and manage Design Tokens to streamline handoff with engineering. • High-Fidelity UI: Create pixel-perfect interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines while optimizing for complex data visualization and financial dashboards. Experience & UX Design (The "Strategy"): • UX Research: Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, surveys, and stakeholder workshops) to uncover user pain points and translate those into requirements and designs. • Flows & Wireframes: Map out intricate user journeys, task flows, and low-fidelity wireframes for complex financial transactions. Strong ability to translate complex problems into user-friendly experiences. • Testing & Validation: Conduct usability testing sessions and iterate designs based on real-world feedback and data-driven insights. What We're Looking For • Studies: Bachelor's degree in a design-related field is highly preffered.. • Industry Experience: Previous experience in FinTech or Banking (5 yr+) is highly preferred like handling complex workflows, Dashboards, Payment flows, data-heavy interfaces, Accesiblity and compliance-heavy environments. • Technical Toolkit: Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Figjam, Figma make and lovable is a must. Familiarity with Jira and documentation tools is expected. • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your process-from initial research and sketches to the final implementation of design systems and components. • Communication: Ability to defend design decisions to high-level stakeholders in the financial sector and collaborate closely with global engineering teams. • Presentation Skills: Ability to articulate complex concepts and workflows clearly with a demonstrated capability in delivering UX and UI prototypes for validation.
