Under the supervision of the Executive Director for the Arts, the Visual and Media Arts Content Specialist will coordinate the development, delivery, implementation and monitoring of visual and media arts curriculum, initiatives, events and projects across the district. The position will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to organize and promote a sequential, culturally & linguistically responsive visual and media arts curriculum PreK-12.The Department of Academics and Professional learning determines priorities regarding core curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development aligned to content standards. This position will improve teacher practice through the implementation of core curriculum, instructional strategies aligned assessment and professional development within network schools. The content specialist will develop a deep understanding of instructional practice, academic performance, academic content and professional development needs working toward quality implementation of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks/National Core Arts Standards.Responsibilities:
