Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled WebSphere Commerce Developer to design, develop, and support eCommerce applications using IBM WebSphere Commerce (HCL Commerce). The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java/J2EE technologies, eCommerce platforms, integrations, and backend development.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain eCommerce applications using IBM WebSphere Commerce (HCL Commerce).
• Customize and extend WebSphere Commerce components, commands, services, and data models.
• Develop and consume REST/SOAP web services and APIs.
• Implement catalog, pricing, promotions, orders, and inventory management solutions.
• Integrate WebSphere Commerce with third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and OMS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
Required Skills
• 10+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce / HCL Commerce.
• Strong experience in Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC.
• Expertise in Spring Framework and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• Strong SQL skills with databases such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Knowledge of eCommerce concepts including catalog, orders, pricing, promotions, and checkout.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with HCL Commerce V9.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Solr, or search technologies.
• Understanding of security standards and payment integrations.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to Have
• Experience in retail or eCommerce domains.
• Agile/Scrum development experience.
• Performance tuning and production support experience.
