Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Petra Funds Group is a single-source provider for fund administration and infrastructure needs for private equity and debt funds. They are seeking a Senior Manager for Fund Accounting to lead client relationships, ensure engagement staffing, and oversee financial reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Act as lead contact for client relationships from proposal to engagement implementation and ongoing administration
- Ensure proper staffing and training needs are met on engagements
- Develop and maintain procedures required to meet internal and external deliverables and client satisfaction
- Review and implement partnership allocation models based on partnership agreements for various clients
- Become knowledgeable of all key systems, primarily Investran Live (accounting system), Salesforce CRM, and Intralinks, through training with the accounting group
- Coordinate and review investor communication, including capital call and distribution notices and capital balance statements for various clients
- Review investment transactions via the Investran Live general ledger system
- Review management fee calculations, invoices, and journal entries
- Review daily and monthly cash reconciliations for various partnerships and related portfolio companies
- Review the fund financial statements (Statements of: Assets and Liabilities/Partners’ Capital, Operations, Partners’ Capital, and Cash Flow) and other management reporting (IRR performance summaries, investment transaction reports, etc.)
- Work alongside the Director to provide direction on various projects and inquiries, including reviewing material prepared by staff. These tasks include reviewing general ledger entries, quarterly work papers, audit confirms, LP requests, and other ad hoc material
- Review and/or calculate private equity benchmark returns, including gross/net MOI and IRR, TVPI, RVPI, and DPI
- Review materials for the interim and annual audit of the fund partnerships for various clients and establish a working relationship with auditors
Skills
- 7-10 years of progressive work experience in accounting or audit, with a preference for private equity, fund administration, or public accounting experience
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks promptly
- Willingness to take on additional ad-hoc tasks and projects
- Ability to build and maintain advanced spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Investran Live
- Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a team approach
