TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to support the design and development of HVAC systems for complex industrial and commercial facilities. This role involves creating HVAC design drawings and 3D models using Hexagon Smart® 3D, and requires proficiency in HVAC design and coordination with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop HVAC Plans, Sections, Details, and Airflow & Control Diagrams from engineering data
- Create and maintain 3D models of HVAC equipment and ductwork in Hexagon Smart® 3D
- Extract design drawings from 3D models
- Size ductwork and support CAV and VAV system design
- Incorporate HVAC equipment data into design models and drawings
- Apply applicable codes, standards, and SMACNA guidelines
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality project documentation
Skills
- 5+ years of HVAC design experience
- Proficiency with Hexagon Smart® 3D (required)
- Strong AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience designing HVAC systems for facilities such as laboratories, dry rooms, control rooms, maintenance shops, warehouses, and administration buildings
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, condensing units, coils, pumps, electric heaters, and fans
