The Role
As Senior Manager, Web Development & Strategy at Iterable, you will own the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of iterable.com, our most important owned marketing asset. You’ll lead a cross-functional team of web developers, UX, production, and SEO/AEO. You will be responsible for setting the vision for a site that drives pipeline, ranks for the terms that matter, and delivers a best-in-class experience for every visitor.
This leadership role merges sophisticated program management with high-level marketing strategy, stakeholder orchestration, and team guidance to execute high-impact initiatives. You will implement structural rigor, optimized workflows, and industry-leading standards across our global web organization.
Key Responsibilities
Web Strategy & Roadmap
Own the iterable.com roadmap, balancing short-term conversion priorities with long-term site architecture and experience improvements
Define and maintain a clear website strategy aligned to pipeline goals, organic growth targets, and brand standards
Translate business objectives from marketing, sales, and product into web initiatives with clear scope, timelines, and success metrics
Establish a test-and-learn culture with a structured experimentation roadmap to continuously improve conversion performance
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team spanning web development, UX/design, production, and SEO/AEO
Set clear priorities, manage workload across the team, and remove blockers to keep execution moving
Build a high-performing team culture that values craft, data-informed decisions, and rapid iteration
Partner with recruiting and HR to grow the team as business needs evolve
Conversion Rate Optimization
Own CRO strategy across the full site—from homepage to product pages to high-intent landing pages
Design and run A/B and multivariate tests to improve key conversion metrics including MQL rate, demo requests, and free trial sign-ups
Analyze visitor behavior, funnel drop-off, and engagement data to surface optimization opportunities
Partner with demand generation to ensure campaign landing pages are built for performance and aligned to audience intent
SEO & AEO
Oversee SEO strategy and ensure the team is executing against a roadmap that improves organic visibility for priority keywords
Lead the evolution of Iterable’s answer engine optimization (AEO) strategy as AI-driven search continues to reshape how buyers find solutions
Ensure technical SEO foundations are maintained across site migrations, redesigns, and new page launches
Partner with content and product marketing to align SEO content strategy with pipeline and awareness goals
Development & Technical Oversight
Oversee front-end and full-stack web development work, ensuring code quality, performance standards, and accessibility compliance
Own site performance metrics including page speed, Core Web Vitals, and uptime, and drive continuous improvement
Evaluate and manage the web technology stack, CMS, and third-party tools that power the site
Ensure the site is built to scale—supporting rapid campaign launches, localization, and personalization requirements
UX & Experience Quality
Champion a user-first approach to web design and information architecture across all site sections
Oversee UX research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate changes before launch
Maintain consistent brand and experience standards across all web properties
Ensure accessibility (WCAG compliance) is a non-negotiable part of every build and update
Analytics & Reporting
Define and own the web analytics framework—ensuring clean data, accurate attribution, and actionable dashboards
Report regularly to the marketing leadership team on site performance across pipeline contribution, organic traffic, conversion rates, and technical health
Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in site data and translate them into prioritized action
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Background
7+ years of experience in web strategy, digital marketing, or web development, with at least 2–3 years in a team leadership role
Proven track record of owning a B2B SaaS marketing website and driving measurable improvements in organic traffic and conversion
Experience leading cross-functional web teams including developers, designers, and AEO/SEO specialists
Deep familiarity with modern web technology stacks, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or similar), and front-end development practices
Strong command of SEO fundamentals and hands-on experience evolving strategy in response to AI-driven search changes
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics 4, Looker, Hotjar, or similar
Solid understanding of CRO methodology, A/B testing platforms, and experimentation best practices
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical marketing stakeholders
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize across a high-volume, fast-moving backlog
Experience with web accessibility standards and performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, page speed)

The US base salary range for this position at the start of employment is $148,000 - $220,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by specific US work location, as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and internal equity considerations.
Please note that the range listed above reflects only base salary. The total compensation package includes variable pay (where applicable), equity, plus a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and financial. In addition, we offer perks such as generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others.
